Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian protester. 25-year-old Fadi Ibrahim al-Najjar was shot dead and at least seven other people were wounded when Israeli forces, positioned behind the Green Line, opened fire on Tuesday on people near Khan Yunis. Teenage Palestinian girl succumbs to wounds a day after being shot by Israeli forces. 2 June 2017 | Nuf Uqab Abd al-Jabar Infiaat (16), shot and critically wounded on Thursday by Israeli forces, succumbed to her wounds on Friday morning in the hospital where she was being treated. She was shot after she had stabbed and slightly injured an Israeli soldier near the entrance to the Mevo Dotan Occupation settlement in the district of Jenin. https://www.maannews.com/Content.aspx?id=777451

Jerusalem, 6 June 2017 | This week marks 50 years since the start of Israel’s Occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. For humanitarians this is the most long-standing protection crisis in the UN’s history. It should be obvious, but it bears repeating, that Occupation is ugly. Amnesty International launches pro-BDS campaign against Settlements. Fifty years into the Israeli Occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, NGO Amnesty International announced, on Wednesday, that it was launching a campaign to convince the international community to implement a full boycott of illegal Israeli settlements across the Occupied Palestinian territory. “One of the tragedies of 50 years of ceaseless Occupation-related violations is that the world has become accustomed to the shocking level of oppression and humiliation that Palestinians face in their daily lives in the Occupied territories,” Amnesty International Secretary-General Salil Shetty said. Israeli Army General talks about Israel's last-resort plan to use nuclear weapon in 1967. New details emerge about a plan prepared by Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Yaakov to detonate a nuclear device in the middle of the Sinai Desert as a warning to Egyptian President Nasser: “The goal was to plant a nuclear device on a hilltop in the Abu-Ageila area, and to blow it up when the prime minister gives the order to do so”, Yaakov says in a series of interviews banned from publication by Israeli Military Censorship.
