Israeli forces have “tortured and humiliated” a Palestinian child in Israel's Ofer Prison, according to a lawyer from the Palestinian Committee of Prisoners' Affairs, Luay Akka. It was reported on Sunday that 14-year-old Suleiman Salem al-Dibs was abducted from his home in the Aida UN refugee camp on 18 September. Israeli forces stormed the boy's home at 3am, damaging family property. The soldiers took Suleiman outside the house, slammed him against a wall, assaulted him and handcuffed him extremely painfully. Suleiman told Akka that he suffered facial injuries and was not provided with treatment despite severe pain. There is a 99.74% conviction rate for Palestinians tried in Israeli military courts, according to Human Rights Watch. Human rights groups have also widely documented the abuse of Palestinian children by Israeli forces and the harsh interrogation practices used to force confessions, which has long been the target of criticism by the international community. Defence for Children International-Palestine research shows that almost two-thirds of Palestinian children detained in the Occupied West Bank by Israeli forces have endured physical violence after being taken prisoner. https://www.maannews.com/Content.aspx?id=779239 11-year-old Palestinian suffers head wound from Israeli Army rubber-coated bullet during raid on the Shuafat UN refugee camp. https://www.maannews.com/Content.aspx?id=779251 DCI-Palestine September newsletter: http://www.dci-palestine.org/september_2017 Dr Saeb Erekat on Israel’s Illegal conduct in the Occupied Palestinian capital throughout 2017: “It is time for yet another dark Apartheid chapter to end.” https://www.nad.ps/en/media-room/press-releases/dr-saeb-erekat-israel%E2%80%99s-illegal-policies-and-measures-occupied-palestinian What lies behind the PA’s latest bid for full UN membership. Rami Tzabar, BBC Radio 4 Sunday, 15 October 1.30pm. “Our right to defend ourselves from extermination does not give us the right to oppress others. Occupation entails foreign rule. Foreign rule entails resistance. Resistance entails repression. Repression entails terror and counter-terror. The victims of terror are mostly innocent people. Holding on to the Occupied territories will turn us into a nation of murderers and murder victims. Let us get out of the Occupied territories immediately.” http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b098gp5q Exposed: undercover Al Jazeera reporter reports pro-Israel lobby in Washington. 9 October 2017. Information Clearing House | Britain’s broadcasting regulator on Monday concluded that Al Jazeera did not violate any rules in its controversial undercover investigation exposing the Israeli embassy’s campaign to target British citizens critical of Israel, a campaign that included attempts to destroy the careers of pro-Palestinian British politicians. The move by the communications regulator, known as Ofcom, clears the way for a follow-up documentary focused on Israeli influence in the United States, the existence of which has previously been suspected but had yet to be made public. Clayton Swisher, director of investigative journalism for the Al Jazeera Media Network, confirmed it on Monday to The Intercept. The goal of the British complaint may partly have been to delay publication of the follow-up American version, he said. “At the very same time [as the London investigation] – and we can safely reveal this now – we had an undercover operative working in tandem in Washington, DC. With this UK verdict and vindication past us, we can soon reveal how the Israel lobby in America works through the eyes of an undercover reporter,” he said. Adalah, the legal centre for Arab minority rights in Israel, in an appeal brief in 2007, stated that Palestinians in Occupied East Jerusalem had never entered or immigrated to Israel, and their residency was never made conditional to any terms. The group also argued that the decision violated the men's rights to live in their homeland without fear of expulsion and rights to liberty, dignity and property. http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/features/2017/ Hamas: Deal reached with Fatah. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/10/hamas-deal-reached https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvQJqr7x2Io https://www.nytimes Danish pension fund excludes 4 companies for role in Israeli Occupation. https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20171011-danish-pension-fund Palestinian olive harvesters attacked by Zionist fanatics. http://imemc.org/article/olive-harvesters-attacked-by-settlers-near-nablus/ More settler violence. http://imemc.org/article/israeli-colonists-cause-damage-to-twelve-palestinian-cars-near-nablus/ Israeli Army bulldozers destroy more Gaza farmland. https://www.maannews.com/Content.aspx?id=779302 Israel to follow US in abandoning UNESCO. https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-5027682,00.html Israeli Army suicide rate on the increase.
